About us
Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit grassroots volunteer organization created and dedicated to the rescue and aid of abandoned and homeless animals in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana and Mississippi, including responding to the immediate needs of those animals in need of medical care, or who have been neglected, abused and deprived of love. ARNO promotes the foster, adoption, and reunion of pets with caretakers, as well as spaying/neutering of all companion animals. ARNO runs a all volunteer no-kill shelter.

Yasmin G. asked:There is a little stray dog in lakeview that my neighbors and myself have been trying to catch with no success. We have a feeding station set up for him but anytime anyone gets close to him he takes off running. We have been trying to capture him to take him to my vet as he appears he has been on the streets for a while and seems somewhat sickly. No collar, tags, etc. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I will adopt him if only we can catch him.
