About us
This page was created to inform the public of places to visit that are accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities/special needs.
I am the manager of the Ty Glyn Davis Trust Holiday Centre for people with special needs. It was recognised/highlighted that there wasn't a group to inform people of places that are accessible for a wide range of needs. This is the reason for creating this group.
This page will consist of shops, restaurants, hairdressers, places of leisure, days out etc that are accessible. These places will cater for a wide range of needs including but not limited to wheelchair, prams and scooters users. Do these places have hand rails, hearing loops, Braille menus and menus with larger writing, do the staff use sign language? Is there an assistant shopper to help people who are blind and partially sighted? Is there sufficient parking nearby and are there disabled and parent/child parking bays? The list is endless so anything that facilitates people with special needs.
