  I realize there are similar requests for this type of recommendation on here but I want to be specific since no two jobs are the same. This is not a "big" job but it's not small either. We need about 75% of our siding replaced on one side of the house, most of it is soft and dying a slow death. Not difficult but on the same wall we have an interior crack on the plaster, the two issues may be related, or not. I'd like to find a "rehab specialist", someone who is familiar with the myriad of issues faced by old houses. We may need a moisture barrier, or not. We probably could use some shoring but I don't think that's the issue. Anyway, if you recommend anyone that is licensed, insured please PM me or comment here. Thanks! PS - is it too much to ask for folks to be licensed and insured? I get the impression it is but seems crazy not to be.

  Elbert Weinberger at Associated Housing Contractors. He does great work and redoes a ton of older homes in MidCity. He did all the siding and interior work on our house. Insured & licensed & affordable. 504-382-4178
