About us

The ManlyBaker is a bakery that started because of one individual who has a passion for baking and cooking that individual is me, Rickus Swanepoel. I started this business because I have a love for my kitchen and baking and cooking. I see cooking and baking as my canvas on which I can express myself in an artistic manner and with that, making people happy. As the old expression says, the route to a man's heart is through his stomach. I believe this is true for everyone. Everyone needs food. Food does not have to just something you eat because you need to. Food is the life-force of all human beings, thus make the most of every meal.

The type of food and treats that I prepare is not the same as you will find in big shops that is make on large scale, but rather food that is prepared in loving and homely manner. I want to treat my clients to a festive meal that will not eat a whole out of their wallets, but put a smile on their face, with the source still stinging to their corners of their mouth.
