  We're fans of [Canine Water Wellness](http://www.caninewaterwellness.com/index.html) (referenced chzplz) which is a hydro therapy place we've used with our dog for a knee problem (LPT: seriously consider insurance if you decide to go for a large 30kg+ dog). The owner is previously a trauma nurse and was really good to work with. You can bring the cost/visit down to about $35-$40 (for an hour) if you buy a package and are willing to swim with your dog. Added benefit, you have access to wash & groom facilities so you have a really clean dog. EDIT: Wow. Here I thought I had discovered a hidden Ottawa gem for dog hydrotherapy :-) Oh yes, add bonus. I met the owner's mother who acts as "handyman". Showed up with drill, saw and other assorted tools to install shelving. Owner's daughter was handling the phones and appointments. Definitely a family operation.

He has a torn tendon on his knee. Vet is recommending surgery but we are looking st other alternatives. Would anybody know about other solutions offered locally. We were thinking of a leg brace but would like some advice from people who have used them. Any help would be appreciated.
