  f/23 just got to hostel in Costa Rica and its totally dead, thinking I made a mistake, should I move on? Booked a hostel in Tamarindo that had really great reviews for this time of year even though its low season, with people still raving about how it was busy and they met people and all went out partying. Just arrived a couple of hours ago, and in a 14 bed room by myself and I'm pretty sure I'm the only person here at all.. Has anyone had this experience before? I've been travelling on my own for about 2 weeks now so I was desperately looking forward to meeting some people. Not sure whether to wait it out and see if more people arrive over the next few days or bail out now. Also if anyone has any busy low season hostels they can recommend here please do!

  From what I remember, Tamarindo isn't really a hotspot of hostel activity because it's so far away Mt Arenal, San Jose, and Manuel Antonio. It's a huge surfer spot though, and a lot of people stay at http://witchsrocksurfcamp.com to learn the basics. Check hostelbooker or one of the other sites for the highest reviewed and go check them out.
