  Kelly F. wrote: On September 21, we contracted with RBS Moving Services in Ephrata- who we found on the Uhaul Moving Site under their microsite: Movinghelp.com. Order #8c2ee642. During this move, the movers Nick and James damaged our dining room table. They loaded it into the Uhaul moving truck that we ordered and leaned it up against the back of a dresser (which had screws in the back of it) and they did not cushion it in any way. During the drive to our storage unit, the table moved back and forth along the screws and scratched the table in at least five locations. When unloading the truck, both the movers and my husband discovered the scratches. Nick then called his boss, Ronald Naranjo, and had him on speaker phone to talk about what happened. While on speaker phone, Nick was sending Ron photos of the damage that has been done. Ron proceeded to ask my husband where the table was purchased. My husband responded with that the table was purchased from a homeowner and not sure where we could get a replacement. To which, Ron said he had a guy that would be able to repair table and that the guy would call my husband in the next few days to come and look at the table to see if he could repair it. After a few days, we received no phone call. My husband texted the owner to find out the status and the response was that Ron has been backed up due to the rain and as soon as he can get "Mike" over, he would call us. Another week went by and there was no phone call. My husband texted him again and asked about taking a check instead of the repair, since we have had no response. That text also went by unanswered. After that, I called U-haul to complain and opened a complaint with them. To which they reached out and told me that Ron would send his "guy" over to get an estimate of damage. Still, no call and I have tried to fix this issue amicably, but will now have to resort to contacting the Attorney General's Office of PA and submitting a BBB complaint. We expect a make good for the service that was done and a repair or compensation to the damage that was done. Do your homework before hiring a moving company to make sure that they are in good standing. This is the last thing that my family expected to go through.
