  Need rabbit vet recommendations (Los Angeles) Hi people. The Santa Monica VCA has not been helpful in treating my rabbit--they're listed online as rabbit-savvy but they reeeeally did not seem to know what was going on with my 9 year old bunny's chronic runny eye. (I saw two different vets in the same clinic--one of them said "rabbits live 4 to 6 years so your rabbit is already living on borrowed time". What??) Eye drops and oral antibiotic (Baytril) have helped but not cleared up the problem--and we don't even know what the problem is exactly. Any recommendations for rabbit vets in the LA area? My research is coming up with ACCESS hospital in Culver City (Dr. Schachterle).

  I have a couple recommendations in the pasadena/eagle rock area, if that helps? (sounds like you're on the west side, but maybe not). Dr. Lisa at the Animal Health Care Center in Eagle Rock is great (http://www.ahccla.com/) We've also seen (and been happy with) Dr. Dawson at Vanderhoof (http://www.vanderhoofvet.com/)

  I'm needing a vet recommendation. I have two Shih Tzu dogs, one geriatric. Before moving, I was with the same vet for 16 years. He was a dream. Loved animals, was an excellent surgeon, but super conservative in his recommendations. He was very sensitive to not running up ridiculous bills and always offered different paths to treat illnesses.
