About us
My name is Lisa I have worked with dogs for over 27 years. I have set up a home from home Dog Training and Dog walking business.
I Started at Guide Dogs for The Blind in 1990 as Dog Care and Welfare Staff were I got my qualification in dog Care and welfare.
In 1994 I Qualified as a Guide Dog Trainer. I had the pleasure of training many potential guide dogs over the 20+ years.
Since leaving Guide dogs I have been working 121 with dog owners helping with such things as, Recall Training, Obedience Training for adult dogs and puppies, lead work, Clicker training, Socialising and Educating dog owners to get the best out of their dog.
I set up A Walk Away in January 2015, I felt my new venture needed a new chapter and a name to go with it.
A Walk Away services include;
I specialise in helping to give new dog owners and their dogs the best start in life on their journey to adulthood. Helping puppies to become, sound, balanced and happy dogs.
121 Puppy Training Programme from 8 weeks old
£80 - 4 weeks course – 1hr per week in Pups own home.
This programme includes;
-House training
-Basic obedience with positive methods
-Puppy education “how they learn”
-Visitor greeting manners
-Introduction to recall
-Puppy to adult feeding and nutritional advice
-How to deal with any “puppy” issues that arise during the 4 week course eg. mouthing.
-On hand support along the way of your Puppies development to adulthood, from a qualified trainer.
Other Services A Walk Away provides;
-One to one Dog Training (In Home) Price on consultation
-Dog walking (collection and drop off service available) £10 1 hour
-Pet minding (in the dogs own home) Price on Consultation
-Micro chipping £10 (I come to you)
