hi everyone not WA but I feel as though you all might have some advice!
I am going to death valley in April for my birthday and I am wondering if anyone has a fav hike or camp spot?! :) Thanks!

Emily, best place to camp is Mahogany Flat, in the Panamint Range. That'll be closed in April though due to snow (it is at 8.5K feet). The second best place is Wildrose, which is also in the mountains, but a reasonable elevation (5K). You are away from most people, great stargazing. The sites down by Furnace Creek/Stovepipe Wells stink - too many RV's, no shade, etc. There's so much to do in the park, but this list has a lot to choose from. Do note that the northern part of the park up by Scotty's Castle is currently closed due to road damage. You'll want to keep an eye on the NPS site to see if it opens by the time of your visit. http://lastadventurer.com/deathvalley/
