The Philadelphia Bee Co. continues this proud tradition by maintaining apiaries within the City of Brotherly Love. The company’s founder, Don Shump, has been raising bees since 2007 and manages hives in Queens Village, West Philadelphia and Kensington.

My daughter has honeybees in the stone of our house above her window jam in the bedroom 2nd floor. They were coming in her bedroom last year. I called the exterminator because my husband is very allergic to bee stings, and I was told they are honey bees and we have to call someone special to remove them. Does anyone know who I would call and what time of year?
