DANGER is a new unisex hair salon in the heart of the Fishtown neighborhood in Philadelphia, PA.
In late 2013, John Redden, Edward B. Gieda III and Christopher Thomas of Philadelphia's subcultural/nightlife beacon, The Barbary, concretized their vision to create a
salon located in the heart of the buzz-worthy neighborhood. By harnessing a decadent aesthetic referencing classic punk & rock enterprises like Vivienne Westwood & Malcolm McLauren's London "SEX" boutique and East Village punk bastions "Trash & Vaudeville", the sexy & vivid allure will undoubtedly pair well with the blossoming renaissance of the Fishtown vicinity. Not unlike these locales, the DANGER salon aggregates seek to craft a space that will become an iconic fixture in the rapidly evolving cultural landscape of Philadelphia.
The premise of the DANGER salon is to facilitate a space in which customer & stylist bonds are forged in a stimulating environment. DANGER is a salon dedicated simultaneously to chic and glamorous hair styling whilst striving to foster a social space & betterment of the community. They go to my gym sometimes riding their motorcycles. Full disclosure I’m a mid 30’s white guy and I’ve been cutting my own hair since the army.
