About us

We at VVH are aimed at providing high quality and affordable veterinary care to the large and small animals of southeastern Massachusetts. We strive to make ourselves available to the communities of Dartmouth, Westport, New Bedford, Acushnet, Fairhaven, and any other of the surrounding communities that may develop a need for our services. At this time we are focusing on meeting our patients needs. As we are just getting started, we do not offer advanced diagnostics at this time, but can easily refer to another local veterinarian as per the needs of our patients. As Dr. Brito is a native she has a strong relationship with many other local veterinarians and this relationship means that referral is an effortless process when necessary. We look forward to developing a strong presence in our local community and providing an easily accessible local veterinarian for all your ambulatory needs.

Sad question, Is there a vet who will come to your house to put down your pet? My 16 year old dog Hunter is entering her last days. Trying to determine what is the best way for her to go. I don't want her to suffer and she seems so unhappy. She has already lost about 10 lbs since Thanksgiving. She isn't eating unless I cook for her - No more dog food. It's a struggle for her to walk now. She has gone down hill very fast the last two days.
