Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
I am a native Cape Codder with over 15 years of experience working as a nanny for families on the Cape. I started Nanny Kate & Co. because of my genuine love of working with families and my unique understanding of the needs of families and nannies.
Describe a typical work day for you?
A typical day at work for me is meeting with families, interviewing and screening nanny candidates, and networking and attending events.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
My inspiration for my business comes from the amazing support and encouragement I get from families and nannies that I have worked with in the past. I love hearing that I have put their mind at ease or found them the perfect nanny!
How can a customer ensure that they receive the best possible service from you?
I always ask families to provide the most accurate information about their unique childcare needs and try and have an open mind throughout the process.
What has been your most memorable experience on the job?
I love when the family makes their final decision and hires the nanny that will be a great addition to their family. I find it so rewarding to place someone who adds so much value to a family!
