Outfits for Angels
About us
We would like to introduce “Outfits for Angels”, a program helping to provide comfort for North Dakota families by providing a beautiful gown for final photos and for burial services. There is no greater gift that can be given to a grieving family than affirming the importance of the life of their child by offering this simple gift.
Pam shared a link to a story about "Gowns for Angels" and we thought it would be the perfect use of our wedding dresses. Then I thought we can do... better then that...we should get a program like this going for ND in honor of our Mom, Ellen Overby Stewart...so that's what we're doing!
I can't begin to imagine losing such a small child let alone having to go shopping for an outfit to bury the beautiful angel in. Our Mom would have sewn for this and we are happy to Honor her with this Honor.
How it works: We are going to get in touch with every hospital in ND and we will keep a stock of Outfits for boys and girls at each hospital that agrees to participate. There are boy outfits, girl outfits, and shawls for the precious tiny that won't fit in a gown. As the hospital uses them we will have them get in touch with us so they always have one for each sex and one of each size. Sewn with love by volunteer seamstresses, donated wedding gowns are used to create beautiful gowns for families grieving the death of their child.

Fabric: White is the most reverent color for these precious angels…White Wedding Gowns have beautiful fabric and provide enough fabric to make several Outfits for Angels and other items. Brides who feel the calling have a special opportunity to share a glimmer of happiness to grieving parents by honoring these precious babies with their beloved go...wn. Wedding gowns are so special and precious that they are ideal for this purpose.
