ULCER question
My horse was scoped today and has grade 3 ulcers and a thickening/yellowing of the stomach lining so it's a chronic problem. So I'm looking at 28 days of treatment and then a slow wean off so probably 36 tubes that I'm going to have to purchase.
1. Has anyone used the Canadian compounding companies? I've heard mixed reviews.
2. What's the cheapest place that you have found to purchase Ulcergard from????
3. Any other suggestions for treatment? HE IS ALREADY EATING A LOT OF ALFALFA, GETTING AS MUCH TURN OUT AS POSSIBLE, AND EATING THE LEAST AMOUNT OF GRAIN I CAN GIVE HIM.
Thanks so much!!!

Farmvet.com is the cheapest place I have been able to find ulcerguard
Hi folks, where do you buy your Adequan? Our vet has recommended we source online for best pricing, and also that I consider buying Equine version as it's bigger quantities and better prices. Love all guidance I can get here, thanks!

I got mine from Farmvet.com. The large bottle of equine multi-dose was $399 and lasted 7 months. Prior to that I was getting the canine version at Costco for $83 for 1.5 doses. Big savings from Farmvet.com

Jennifer Rand Romney, your vet should tell you the dose needed for Joey. You'll also need a prescription for the needles. I got those at Costco. The Farmvet.com people were fantastic. They contacted my vet and told her how to write the prescription so there wasn't any need for me to try to figure it out.
