AWESOME CON COMES TO INDIANAPOLIS OCTOBER 3-5, 2014
Hi, my name is Ben Penrod, I’m the president of Awesome Conventions. We are honored to bring Awesome Con to Indianapolis. When we visited Indiana a few weeks ago, we were struck by the kindness and passion displayed by nearly everyone we met. It seemed like everyone was excited about everything happening in the city, and we heard so much about the zoo, museums, the state park, even about the Indians minor league baseball team, which seemed to take over Downtown in the evening. If this is the type of passion we can expect for fandom, then I know that Awesome Con will be a huge success the first weekend in October.
Who are we? Awesome Conventions is a small team of passionate geeks who run three massive fan conventions and two small ones.
What can you expect from Awesome Con? It’s a fully immersive fan experience for every member of your family. Expect 20-30 celebrity guests, tons of comic book creator guests, hundreds of artists, three full days of interesting and engaging panels, Q&As, workshops, etc. and a vibrant exhibit hall full of comics, toys, games, memorabilia, and probably any other geeky thing you might want. Aside from all that, it’s going to be a great place to spend time with your friends and family, make new friends, see people in costume, and hopefully BE someone in costume!

Rose Q. asked:Is there a list of vendors? How long is the wait usually for an autograph? Are there places that have vegetarian food options? Are there plenty of places to rest?Meg S. replied:You can see all the vendors here: http://www.awesome-con.com/floorplan/ I think the autograph lines depends on who it is signing and how popular they are. There are a ton of food options, but not sure about vegetarian in particular, although I imagine there is something. And yes, plenty of places to sit down throughout the convention center!
