About us
Lady Vanolia came into existence because of our desire to take a leap in faith and with our talent, passion, a dream and lots of support from our families and close friends and God’s blessings.
As a little girl, my Mom was always involved at school and sport fundraisers, creating centre pieces and décor items from scratch, flower arrangements for weddings and I learned the basics from her. My natural talent developed more over the years from lots of practise with Mom, but also because I was always volunteering to assist with friend’s weddings, birthday parties, work functions and after 19 years in the corporate world, the message became clear – “I gave you a talent and you are not using it”
After my first step in faith with 21 orders for flowers and gifts on Valentine’s day in 2012, I understood the message and there was no turning back.
As the orders grew over time, my need for assistance grew and at the same time my best friend of 25 years Olivia was looking for something more creative to do with her spare time after leaving her corporate job and today she is not only my best friend, my soul sister but now my business partner as well.
Olivia always assisted her mother and grandmother who use to do the catering for functions and the decoration there of. With us combining our knowledge and talents we realised that we are a winning team.
Over the past year we have been blessed and our small home based flower and gift shop has grown beyond expectation, especially on the event side. This growth meant that our public image had to change to suit the services we supply to the public and corporate market.
We wanted a more sophisticated look, with a touch of vintage charm and immediately we thought of the Cameo lady and this was the start of our logo’s inspiration and the name followed. Vanolia is a blend of our names, Vanessa & Olivia. Vanessa means butterfly and Olivia means Olive tree and there it was. An Olive tree with butterflies inside a Cameo frame. ... show more We wanted to keep something of our original name or logo, Perfect Gifts, because it has such a spiritual meaning to us and this is where the flowers under the tree’s roots was added. Again we are blessed with a beautiful logo and name, which has a beautiful and deep meaning for both of us.
Lady Vanolia strives to supply a professional service, where service excellence is part of our make-up and our personal touch is what makes us unique and our attention to detail can be seen in every bouquet, gift and event we create.
