  Hey HB, I'm a little embarrassed to write this, but a lot of my friends don't have this experience, so I'm taking it to the neighbors. I've been dealing with high blood pressure problems. Most people have no symptoms, but not me...dizziness, chest pains, shortness of breath, shaking. I'm only 34. *Have been with my primary care physician about every two weeks, as well as specialists all working on managing this with me, over the past 3 months.Looking for other options to help their efforts that have worked for people here* I've tried a few doctor prescribed meds with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions that have worked for them to lower blood pressure/hypertension issues?

  My sister had really high blood pressure when she was in her 30's. The doctors would give her blood pressure medication and they had a very hard time getting it under control. I was in nursing school at the time and mentioned that they should check her kidneys. Kidneys actually have a role in blood pressure management. Turned out one of her renal arteries was stenosed. They did a stent and opened the artery and her blood pressures returned to normal. Fast forward several years, her blood pressures started creeping up again...turns out she has something called Fibromuscular Dysplasia.   ---Good Idea Maureen! Mr copperhead also have you gone to teaching hospitals in your area? They sure seen to know more about FMD than "regular docs". ALso as Maureen says if your wife is not already taking an blood thinner I HOPE she is taking an asprin a day?   offer some suggestions. I also suggest you contact FMDSA.ORG, a wonderful organzation dedicated to research and knowledge of FMD. They may know some docs in your area. Most folks end up trying to go to a teaching hospital near by as they are more updated on newest / OKay take care oxoxoand WELCOME! oxoxoxoxmimi experience. FMD.
