Buyer beware - I purchased in good faith Chad's Bikes At Work bicycle trailer (as shown in the various photos on his business facebook page) via eBay. Chad misrepresented the condition of the trailer. When it arrived incomplete (it was supposed to be complete) and damaged and when I requested that Chad refund me the ~$30 it was going to cost me to purchase the missing and damaged parts that I needed to assemble the trailer, he flat out refused. More than that, in his initial reply to my request that he honor his obligations as a seller, he made things personal, writing, "You seem like an over demanding individual that needs too much pampering. Problem solve your issues and leave me alone." What follows is my message to him, in which I first identified the problem. Following that, I've reprinted his less than professional reply. NOTE - Anyone considering using this person for professional services of any kind is warned to stay away. He is trouble. My message: "Chad - Having recently returned home (I've been out of the country since before I purchased the trailer) I just tried to put the trailer together & am writing to make you aware of the fact that there are numerous missing parts & one damaged part. My understanding from the information that you provided in your original listing &, thereafter, from our various correspondence (all of which I've just read back through) was that, aside from one missing wheel (& no optional flag), this trailer was otherwise complete & undamaged. The reality is something different. A list of the missing & damaged parts & my demand [in which I request that he cover my ~$30 costs to replace the missing parts) can viewed in the attached image. I was hoping to use the trailer tomorrow to run a whole host of errands but, instead, I'm now stuck waiting to place an order from BAW & for that order to arrive. It goes without saying that I am not pleased to discover that what I ordered is not what I received. I will contact you again tomorrow after I've talked with BAW." And Chad's reply (misspellings, grammatical errors and all): "I m sorry you re having trouble. The trailer is dissembled from it assembled (complete) form. Ic you re missing a bolt or two go to hardware store and replace them. You purchased a used yet good product in working order. You seem like an over demanding individual that needs too much pampering. Problem solve your issues and leave me alone. Have a good day." When I requested a second time that he cover the cost of the parts that he failed to send, the following was his one-line response, "Any other unrealistic requests that will never come to fruition?" How sad that this is how he treats his customers.
