Chesterman beach is beautiful, but, the hotel on that beach is uber expensive....I think more kid friend restaurants are in town. Tofino B.C for breakfast and it was modestly priced https://www.facebook.com/463323630499058 and family friendly. We absolutely loved Howler's Family Restaurant and Amusements in Ucluelet too!!
