  Can anyone recommend a good bed and breakfast or a nice hotel near Traverse City perferably located on Lake Michigan? Looking to get away for a long weekend retreat and visit the Sand Dunes and other area attractions over the Memorial Day weekend.

  www.chateauchantal.com. A coworker went here for a mini honeymoon and highly recommends this place. Right on a vineyard and you can go to the tasting room in the middle of the night.

  We usually stay at Grand Traverse Resort. Chateau Chantal is really beautiful too.

  Planning a Northern Michigan getaway for late Oct. Would love recommendations for wineries, restaurants, lodging, etc... Probably Traverse/Leelenau, but open to suggestions! Go.

  http://www.chateauchantal.com/ Is a cool place to stop. They play Jazz music at night and you can sit on the patio and see water all around you. Also, on the way up I would recommend stopping in Glen Arbor and eating at the Cherry Republic. It's pretty sweet.
