  I've long taken my dogs and cats to Dr Andrea Frost and her staff at the Pacific Veterinary Hospital at 9715 SW Barbur (503-246-3373), across Barbur from the Transit Center. Recommend them highly.

  I need advice for dog boarding or house sitting. We are relatively new dog owners (our chihuahua-long-haired dachshund mix is a year and a half old) and we need to leave her a few times this summer...a few days in June and a longer period later in the summer. What do you advise? Do you have a boarder you recommend, or would it be better for us to get a housesitter? And what does each option typically cost? She's a really sweet dog and I want her to be well taken care of!

  I have used Pacific Vet, located off Barbur and Capitol for years for several of my dogs. They are also my vet. I like the fact that my dog will get fast medical service if she gets sick and they also charge by the night. If I go away for two days and get back on the 2 nd day before they close I am charged for just one night. House sitters make me nervous.I have no concerns when I use Pacific Vet. Their number is 503-246-3373. They are open seven days a week.
