Get to know us questions and answers
Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
We have always had a special connection with animals. Over the years, we had volunteered at various shelters & non-profit organizations which helped us realized our purpose in life; to take care of pets! We are very passionate about what we do & take great pride in our work. We are both very caring individuals.
Describe a typical work day for you?
What we love most about what we do is our "typical work day" is not a typical work day. In fact, we don't even consider it work. We love what we do, it's a dream come true but what makes everything truly amazing is there is not one day that is the same as the last. There is something new each and every day.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
We have always loved animals. We hold all animals dear to our hearts and were raised on the traditions that no matter who or what, you should always treat everyone and everything with love and respect. There is not a better feeling in the world to look down at an animal and to see him/her smile. "When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul."
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with a variety of customers and by customers we mean pets. We have cared for pets such as dogs, cats, tropical birds, lizards, hamsters/ferrets, fish, insects & we have even taken care of a 48-year-old, 290 pound hardshell tortoise. We have many pets ourselves & with the amount of training & expertise, we are well-equipped with the knowledge and experience to care for any animal.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We understand that not everyone will want to take the time to get to know us. If this is the case, we suppose the best thing we can do for our fellow pet owners is to provide advice for when they are looking for a pet care provider. INSURANCE & BONDAGE This offers total protection of your home, your family & your pets. What happens if a valuable vase goes missing from your home while in the care of your pet care provider? With insurance & bondage, you will receive total compensation for what's missing. What happens if your pet needs an emergency vet visit? Without insurance & bondage, you could face thousands of dollars in veterinarian bills. Make sure you are protected. CPR & FIRST AID CERTIFICATION No one can predict the future and it is better to be safe than sorry. When your pet care service provider is CPR and first aid certified, you may rest assured that your pets are in the care of someone who is well trained and equipped with the knowledge to handle any situation. Also, never allow an individual to administer medicine to any animal without proper training and certification. This is especially important when you have elderly pets. CARE FREE GUARANTEE Ensure your pet care service provider provides some sort of guarantee. If for any reason you aren't satisfied with the services provided (for example: if your puppy makes a mess in your home), you are able to request a hassle-free refund. This prevents frustration and avoids disputes in service quality.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There are many questions you should ask before hiring a service provider. Below is a list of just a few questions that should help get you thinking. 1. Why do you feel you are a good fit for the job? 2. How much experience do you have in taking care of pets? 3. Are you insured and bonded? 4. What happens in the case of an emergency? How exactly do you handle emergencies? 5. Are you CPR and first aid certified? 7. How can I contact you with questions I may have? Please don't forget to ask any questions that may pertain directly to your pets (such as medicine administration).
