Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
Originally lived in Perry, NY moved to California in 1983 and lived there until 2005. When I moved back from California decided to become self employed and start up my own pet business.
Describe a typical work day for you?
My work days are long starting at 5:00 am and on many days the work day does not end until 9:00 pm.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
My enthusiasm and inspiration come from my clients, the community and my four legged clients. When you can work with a family and see the transition and the client satisfaction it bring motivation to continue doing what you love.
How can a customer ensure that they receive the best possible service from you?
During the introduction and the original meet and greet I encourage clients to ask questions. I also start the meet and greet with an introduction with the canine companion to assess the motivation and interaction with me.
What has been your most memorable experience on the job?
Working with a complete deaf dog and watching him flourish and become playful.
