About us
The whole idea behind Nicole Marie Photography is to capture those candid moments while telling a story through my camera. I adore shots of those long gorgeous eye lashes or that favorite curl in you child's hair that won't be there for much longer. In other words, the small things that make a picture. 2016 has been an exciting year for me. I've furthered my education in studio and outdoor photography through workshops and online courses, I dived straight into the scary world of owning a small business, and while doing all of that, I also did a lot of soul searching. I wanted to answer the 'Why' question every business owner needs to to know! Although it was super scary and I honestly didn't believe I could do it. I'd say "My gosh! Look how many amazing photographers there are in this area, I am never going to stand out"...then I stopped saying that, grabbed the bull by the darn horns and just went for it. Photography is a NEVER EVER ENDING learning process. Seriously, it never ends. I will be learning new things for the rest of my life on something that I feel like I already know so well! How cool is that? So my 'WHY' for being a photographer is this, I want to do what I love everyday of my life while also being there for my children. If I could just be financially stable and keep photography as a hobby I would! That's just not something I can do right now. I have so many plans for this business that it's become somewhat of my 'baby' so now I'm very excited for 2017 to get here! As far as the soul searching went, I no longer doubt myself and if ever I hit a brick wall, I figure a way around it. Photography is such a beautiful type of art that it deserves to be taken seriously. their style fits the style in which you're looking for. Not every photographer can take photographs of newborns or sports. So make sure to first check out their page or website then figure out your budget or what you are willing to invest in your photographs. Remember that these will be around for the rest of everyone's lives, they will be hung up in your family room or in the nursery. Photos are a precious luxury, not a necessity. This can make most people not want to spend a bunch of money getting photos taken especially since now most of our smart phones take better photos than some fancy cameras do! Remember though, its not the camera that makes the picture what it is, it's the artist behind it =) show more
