Our Wooden Wick candles are very popular. The main benefit of burning a candle with a wooden wick is that the scent throw is much stronger than with a cotton wick.
The amount of 'Crackle' you experience can be different each time your candle burns. Sometimes there will be a very faint/no crackle and other times it can be quite loud. This is because wood is a natural product. To get the best out of your wooden wick candle I suggest you follow this simple guide:
Wood Wick Candle Care
Due to the hardness of the wood it may take 2-3 attempts getting it to light.
Let the candle burn till the melted wax reaches the outer edge of the jar. If your wood wick candle is not making a crackling noise as it burns, extinguish the flame, and let the wax cool back to a solid state. Trim the cool wick to where it sits just above the wax. It is easiest to use your fingers to trim the wick by breaking off the softer burned wood evenly across the wood wick. It is very important that you keep the wood wick trimmed just above the wax (1/8") to experience the soft crackling noise every time you light your wood wick candle.
