  Party wall surveyors - has anyone used one for a loft conversion. Our neighbours want to appoint someone who is based in Putney. He charges £160 per hour, and charges for travel time. Can someone tell me if this is a standard price? And does anyone have a recommendation for a local surveyor, as I really don't want to pay someone 300 quid to drive to Putney and back!

  We were recommended Andrew Murtough of Set Square Surveyors by a lady on MGF. As we needed a party wall surveyor to act on our behalf as our neighbour was having some work done.
