About us
Kids Academy nursery is graduate led with a highly qualified workforce. We are set out on two floors with a variety of rooms and resources. We have three main children rooms, which are age appropriate, provide age appropriate activities and resources. Our full time cook prepares fresh meals daily and we pride ourselves on a well balanced nutritious menu. Our Hygiene star rating as awarded by Leeds City Council is 5 stars.
We have three outdoor areas which have a large front garden area where children can enjoy playing in our sheltered sand pit, playing make believe on our wooden train, climbing up our climbing and going down our fun slide at the other side. You can have lots of fun painting pictures on our drawing boards. We also have lots of bikes and cars for children to ride around on. Our second outdoor area has a wobbly bridge and balancing beam. There is a third outdoor area which is sheltered so children can play out no matter what the weather.
We also have a movement and sensory room upstairs for all children to use; this room provides children to do one to one work with their key worker or to interact in small groups.
Throughout the year we try to promote as much parental involvement as possible and appreciate any time families can spend in the nursery, you will often be invited to open sessions and fun days that we are hosting.
Pastoral care is paramount, each individual child will have a key worker who will be the first point of contact for families. A profile is maintain of each child’s development.
We have strong links with the local schools in the area and this is shown by us being invited to local events they are holding and transitions when children move to school as teachers come to visit the children in their setting to ease the transition form nursery to school.
