About us
Based in Hampshire, we are one of the south of England's leading Ceilidh and Barn Dance Bands and have experience in entertaining at all types of function - club/company socials, wedding receptions, parties, fund raisers etc, and special themed evenings such as Irish nights, Burns Suppers, Country & Western etc.....
You want a fun evening that all will enjoy, and a barn dance is a great way to provide it. Our caller will guide your guests through the dances, with the emphasis being on fun.
Woodsiders play a mixture of English, Irish, Scottish and American styles of music and can tailor our tunes and dances to suit your event. We can even add a Country & Western singer to our line-up for American themed events (see our meet the band page). We have played in venues both small and large - village halls with under a 100 guests to the Bournemouth International Centre for 2,000+ and we have been on the scene since 1992.
Our main barn dance band line-up is Mike on accordion, Ted on acoustic guitar, and Luke on percussion, plus our caller. We have a number of musicians who guest for us if any of our regular band members are unavailable, or if a larger barn dance band is required.
We have 5 million public liability cover, and our electrical equipment is P.A.T. tested annually.
