  I am looking for recommendations for a home birth midwife in Utah County. I live in Salt Lake and so I'm not familiar with Utah Co midwives. I have a friend who is 35 weeks and looking to switch from an OB. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

  Hi Katrina, Good luck to your friend! I had my second at home and loved it! I live in Provo, but the midwife I used is in West Jordan and mostly serves clients in the SLC area. However, I have heard lots of names for Utah County midwives. Cathy O'Bryant is an experienced midwife here. Here's her website: http://www.enlightenedbirth.com/ Better Birth is a good practice here, as well. They attend births at home or their Birthing Center, BellaNatal. There are a number of midwives within the practice. http://www.betterbirth.com/ I've also heard the name Richelle Jolley a lot. I think she might be in South Utah County. Here's a website for a Heather Shelley. http://birthingyourway.com/ This is a link to a Hypnobirthing page that has a long list of midwife providers who serve Utah County. Some of the ones I listed above are also found here. I hope this helps!   We have them in lehi at our center or in Provo as well. The provo location accepts almost all insurances. You just need an order from your midwife is all and then call 801-615-1733 to book the appt.

  We had our last baby with Heather Shelly at Birthing Your Way Birthing Centers. It was such a better experience than we had had with our three previous babies (at hospitals), that we're going back for current baby too. They have an office in Provo and one in Pleasant Grove. birthingyourway.com
