  Katie Libs We are considering a metal roof for our next roof. I was wondering if anyone had one and would be willing to share their experience (good or bad). Our home has a standard roof (gable), but we have a detached garage we will need to do that is a gambrel style roof.   Katie Libs we had a metal roof on our house in AL. I LOVED it. I hoped to hear the rain more but didn't, the house was new construction and pretty well insulated.
