  Friends in NYC: my dad is having some issues with shoulder pain -- he just had an MRI, and got its results, and needs an orthopedic consult (the results don't seem to suggest he needs surgery, but PT is likely). Can anyone recommend a good orthopedics specialist (presumably an orthopedic surgeon -- or are there other kinds of orthopedics specialists)? He was directed to one Andrew Feldman, but he seems to have terrible reviews.

  My dad had very good experience with dr. Lewin at http://www.bportho.com/ after bouncing around a few inept doctors. I think he's more a back specialist, but they might have other good doctors there. Avoiding Russian doctors in Brooklyn is probably a good start.
