About us
Hi I'm Cassaundra Prinkey, owner of Illuminette Photography. Taking photos has always been my artistic outlet; just the idea of being able to freeze time for one moment fascinated me. I look at each image, not only as a time stamp, but as a piece of art.
I truly have no specialization in any certain type of photography, which I think tends to set me apart from other photographers, I prefer not to limit myself to strictly one style, because I believe there is opportunity to capture a stunning image just about anywhere. From portraits to nature and even architecture, I appreciate the beauty in it all. I love to capture every tiny obscure detail, down to the twinkle in the eye or the arch of a doorway; often too many times the details tend to be overlooked in everyday life.
The name illuminette photography is based off of the definition of illuminate which is "to provide or brighten with light," and the suffix -ette which is defined as "denoting an imitation or substitute." Lighting can be the greatest attribute or greatest downfall of a captured image, as a photographer you are continuesly manipulating and creating new light with your surroundings and equipment. But light breathes life into a photo; without it there would be nothing but darkness.
