About us
Mama Lourdes Heavenly Bites was established by Lourdes Delgado in 2002.
The business operated from a double garage at home which was converted later to her bakery where she produced cakes and biscuits targeted at the Portuguese community. The founder was successful in obtaining support from local industry, namely, Home Industries, Delis, Coffee Shops and Grocery Stores.
Lourdes was diagnosed with Cancer in 2007 and passed on from the disease in December 2011. Her daughter, Elsa, felt inspired to continue with her mother's legacy and walked away from a career in HR to take over the business in January 2012. The business grew significantly within the first 2 years and now operates from a business premises situated in Linmeyer, The South of Johannesburg.
Mama Lourdes now offers more than just cakes and biscuits and aims to meet everyone's need. The shop offers a range of cakes, cupcakes, biscuts, rusks, pastries, tarts and more...
