About us
My love of all things artistic started when I was very young. I’m the oldest child of a large Coast Guard family. Moving every few years to Dad’s new post somewhere in the states, always near water, presented new things to excite that artsy side of me. The culture was different in each new place, too; we became familiar with people from all walks of life. All of this helped me to develop a sense of wonder and a desire to share what I feel and see in my mind’s eye.
I love photographing anything and anyone! I love graphic design, too, creating pieces to convey the client’s message effectively. My photos are often used to create a graphic piece, like business cards, brochures, print ads… you name it!
I try to learn from my client what the goal is; what is the feeling or message they want to convey? I’ve been accused of being a mind reader. I somehow intuitively understand pretty readily. If my client isn’t happy with the result, neither am I. It means a great deal to me to make my clients happy.
I love to shoot outside at a beach, in the woods or a park. Older pets are especially sensitive to new places, so are more likely to be good photo subjects in familiar surroundings, such as their own back yard or a beach they go to often. People who have health issues that keep them at home are welcome to have me visit and take family photos.
