About us
The Paradise Inn, located in Bennington, Vermont, is a 100% family owned, multi generational business. Proud to be in the Bennington area, and in love with the land, air, and people of our town, we welcome you whole heartedly to enjoy this unique corner of Vermont with a stay at our Inn. We’ve made our Inn, too, a unique corner of Bennington itself, with extensive gardens and lawns, flowers blooming all summer long, and a special attention to environment, so that you can really be in Bennington when you stay at the Inn.
Bennington is about history (read, a decisive Revolutionary War battle took place just nearby and Old Bennington will take you back in time). It’s about place (the quality of the air, the way the town sits in the valley), that special feeling of “…ah, relax…” found here far from urban hustle and bustle. It’s about education (Bennington, the college, is here, as is Southern Vermont College, with Williams College, in Williamstown, just down the road); and it’s about people (that special blend of smart and ordinary that characterizes New Englanders, plus we’re hardworkin’ and fun-lovin’). When you come to Bennington, you step into all of that mix of history and now that will make for an enjoyable and fascinating time.
Recreation is a-plenty here, with ski resorts, lakes, bike paths, hikes. Mount Snow, Stratton, Killington, Prospect Mountain – these are the ski resorts associated with our area. Arts and entertainment thrives in our corner of Vermont and neighboring Massachusetts – you’ve got Mass Moca nearby, the Clark in Williamstown, summer stock theater galore also in Williamstown, races in Saratoga, music in Tanglewood… we could go on and on.
