  It's my birthday today and I'm looking for a good place to go for a birthday dinner. I don't go out often and I'm looking for somewhere spectacular where you can still get a table same day. I have a budget of $100. I like Japanese, American/New American, French, Mediterranean, Seafood, and Mexican though im alway looking for something new and exciting. Any recommendations?

  If you don't mind waiting to celebrate until tomorrow there are a bunch of great restaurants participating in www.dinearoundseattle.org and you can have a 3 course meal for $33-$44.

  Had a GREAT meal and awesome service tonight at Steelhead Diner near Pike Market. Enjoyed every bite of the Dine Around Seattle menu and our server was awesome and knew her wines very well (hard to find that in most places). I HIGHLY recommend this place...and on top of that, ask to sit at the bar...GREAT view of the sound above the market!
