About us

A short ferry ride from West Seattle or Tacoma brings you to an island removed from the everyday hustle and bustle and you breathe a sigh of relief as you feel yourself unwinding walking along the beaches, strolling through “town” or visiting a working farm. This is home. This is Vashon Island.

Express Cuisine is just one of many fine eateries on the island and has had a loyal following since 1992.

We offer a small menu that changes weekly and offers the tried and true islanders favorites as well as some seasonally inspired options using island grown produce and products.

Join us Wednesday through Saturday in a very relaxed unencumbered friendly hangout and make some new friends. Who knows, you might just want to make the island your home.

Thinking of taking a weekend trip in Sept. to one of our islands here in WA with my family. Any suggestions on which island (san juans, bainbridge, etc) has the most vegan (+gf) food options? We've been to Friday harbor, so somewhere different would be nice. We're just looking for a beachfront rental, so doesn't necessarily have to be on an island.
