About us
Pedals for Peace are back again at the Burn to weave their magic in the Tankwa. The bikes that were gifted back at the end of last year's Burn where distributed to children at the Elandsvlei School, halving their long walk to school. The school and the children were ecstatic, so incredibly special to see these children who never ever imagined they would receive a bike let alone a week old bike.
This year, we have decided to go single speed as there is less to go wrong when the kids receive them and after all, the Tankwa is flat.
How it will work - you pre purchase your bike through Quicket or through the bank account below, send us POP and we will arrange to transport your bike to the Burn, set it up and if need be, assist you with servicing the bike while at the Burn. This allows you to have a bike at the Burn without the hassle of transporting it there (not like we already don’t have a ton to cart up!).
After the Burn, should you decide you wish to keep it, no problem or you can gift it back and we will be visiting schools & communities in the area, that will have been pre-identified with the help of the amazing Afrika Burn outreach team and distributing the bikes the week after the Burn.
