Fiona Boyle's Childminding Service
About us
I have been a registered childminder since 1994, and have five children of my own. I am registered to care for babies, pre-school and school-aged children. I have spaces in all age groups. I currently attend Mount Esk, St Mary's and Lasswade nurseries, Hawthornden, Burnbrae, St Mary's and Lasswade primaries; other schools are considered. My husband John, and daughter Tiffany are registered as my assistants. I work during term-time and school holidays.
During the term time week, the pre-school children attend a softplay centre, trampoline club, the library, play group and a 'book bug' session at the library. The school-age children attend a football club ,and are dropped off and/or collected from after-school activities.
During the school holidays, we visit museums, local beaches, country parks, the softplay and go on nice walks. We like to walk the family dog Marley, bake cakes, and the children enjoy our regular arts and crafts activities. we celebrate many events i.e. Burns Night, Chinese New Year, Pancake Day, Easter, Halloween, etc.
At a recent Christmas party, the children all selected their own favourite songs, which we compiled onto their disco playlist. At the party, we also collected foods which the children then donated to a local foodbank.
