About us

Your one-stop event company - let us manage your function in its entirety, from lighting to sound, chair covers to table decorations and everything in between. If you can imagine it, we can create it. Our dedicated team of professionals will work with you to help you make your event one to remember. Any type of function catered for, whether you're celebrating a birthday, getting engaged or married, organising a christening or tasked with organising a corporate function, a charity event or even a company Christmas party or theme night, our packages can be tailored to suit your needs. Our Company:

Matt Fletcher Entertainment & Events offers a wide selection of services, be it a professional mobile or club DJ, theme nights, lighting and sound for your event, chair covers and sashes, table decorations, giant party games, exclusive wedding post boxes, props or complete event co-ordination.

Regardless of which of our services you're using all packages are tailored and priced to suit your needs and we provide a fully professional service from start to finish! Written confirmation is issued with all bookings which are secured by a small deposit and then, prior to your event, we'll arrange to call or meet you in person to finalise the arrangements.

Matt Fletcher Entertainment & Events currently looks after entertainment and more at many of the Isle of Man's most prestigious venues including Bradda Glen Cafe & Restaurant in Port Erin, The Forge Marquee in Santon and The Abbey Restaurant in Ballasalla.

Event co-ordination is something we reintroduced in 2013 and have already supplied this service to a number of prestigious clients including Axa, RL360, Lloyds TSB, Zurich and First Names. Our People:

Matt - has had over 18 years' experience in the entertainment industry and can be heard weekdays between 10am and 2pm on the Island's favourite radio station, 3FM. Matt originally started out treading the boards of the stage but after a change of direction back in 1996 Matt Fletcher's Disco Fever was born, growing into a full time company offering the very best in disco and karaoke entertainment - ultimately resulting in the formation of Matt Fletcher Entertainment. For many years Matt Fletcher Entertainment looked after events for clients and venues throughout the North West of England until Matt relocated to the Isle of Man in 2008. Having initially closed the book on events, Matt soon realised the demand for high quality DJ entertainment on the Isle of Man was there, and didn't take long for the diary to get rather full! As more was asked of the company, the step up was taken and saw us expand our operations further to offer items of decor and theming alongside our foundation of professional disco entertainment.

Harry - has been working alongside Matt for over 6 years. He's the new boy, but has already proved himself and taken the reins at Bordello and Guys & Dolls in Douglas, as well as having worked at many functions across the Island, most notably at The Abbey in Ballasalla and the Hop Garden in Santon.

Harry has invested heavily in a state of the art disco setup and is available for any occasion Island wide. A young but well mannered and polite DJ, Harry has a great future ahead of him.

Chris - hailing from the North East of England, Chris grew up on the Isle of Man and first performed at a mobile function at the tender age of 16. Now in his early 20s, he's a confident and versatile DJ easily able to read and entertain a crowd. Currently studying for a BA in Radio Production at the University of Westminster in London, Chris forms part of our team when his studies allow. He has regularly worked in Bordello and Guys & Dolls in Douglas and is also available for private functions having performed at many weddings, corporate events, birthday and family parties all over the Island. You can also catch Chris waking up the Island each Sunday morning on 3FM.

Chris is a friendly and accommodating DJ, a great choice for any function!

Ange - a valuable member of the team Ange's experience in management, hospitality, window dressing and displays provides us with a creative and practical eye. With a willingness to help out in any situation whether it be designing and creating table decorations or assembling chair covers and sashes, Ange completes the Matt Fletcher Entertainment & Events team.

Our Services:

Professional DJs - Should Matt be unavailable for your function or event, one of our hand picked local professional DJs can be supplied as an alternative. Each DJ carries a wide selection of music, is confident on the microphone and will liaise with you, the client, to ensure your event is just right for your needs.

Lighting - Give your venue that WOW factor with subtle up-lighting that can transform an otherwise plain room. Emitting virtually no heat and using very little power, LED up-lighting can create soft lighting in the colour of your choice to compliment your function. Whether you choose to highlight the features of a room, or just wash the walls with subtle tones of colour, the final effect is stunning! Our units can be set to a solid colour of your choice or allowed to scroll through many colours on a slow fade, as well as responding to music which can really bring your room to life if you choose a DJ or band. Simple but very effective!

Themes - rather than just asking guests to wear fancy dress, have you considered a theme night? A room can be completely transformed by adding some giant props and some subtle lighting. We have already recreated a Charlie & The Chocolate Factory night (including giant Wonka gates), a Great Gatsby Extravaganza (with live Gangsters for amazing photo opportunities), a Grease Night and an absolutely stunning Winter Wonderland. Other themes are available, just ask for details of other options and remember we can also custom make props if you have something specific in mind!

Exclusive Post Boxes - Currently available in traditional red, white, baby blue or hot pink our post boxes are a unique, fun and elegant collection box for cards, vouchers and monetary gifts at your function. Some of our boxes come complete with a personalised collection panel. These boxes offer an instantly recognisable location for guests to place their envelopes in a safe and secure storage system. We can also offer exclusive rustic alternatives, including vintage suitcases.

Chair Covers and Sashes - A new addition to our range in 2013, and a key part of our event planning services, we now provide chair covers and sashes. Lycra chair covers coupled with a coloured sash of your choice allows you to co-ordinate your tables and chairs. Our colour swatch books enable you to select the perfect shade of sash to compliment your room and table decorations.

Giant Party Games - Have you thought of adding Giant Party Games to your event for giant amounts of fun! We are pleased to be able to supply giant versions of classic children's games - Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Giant Snakes & Ladders, Giant Chess and the ultimate party game of all ... Giant Buzz Wire. There are many places you can use these games, be it inside or out, and they are a fun way to keep guests of all ages occupied while creating a unique talking point - you could even give prizes away to the best players!
