  Hi, I'm looking for some advice and or a recommendation from anyone who has dealt with a structural issue in their home. Our home's main support beam is sagging and bowing causing the floors above to slope... Has anyone dealt with this problem and if so can you recommend a course of action? Did you call a contractor or a structural engineer first? Any names? Thank you!

  Depending on the severity of the issue, you might be able to have a licensed contractor look at it and advise you as opposed to having a structural engineer design a solution.
