  I need a bit of help in finding a doctor for my mom. (Everything's okay, she just wants to go in for a checkup). My mom is looking for a GP (General Practitioner, a Doctor) in or near the Newark area that takes Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. She really would prefer a woman doctor so that's what I'm looking for. I'm going to be going through the proverbial phone book and look around myself of course, but any recommendations or personal experiences would be welcomed. Thanks a bunch!

  Thank you for your help everyone, I ended up taking my mom to Dr. Muhammad Abdullah on 239 Lafayette St. in Newark.
