About us
My experience interning with Hour Children Suffolk County has been nothing but rewarding. Right now we are helping the women who are almost ready to be released prepare for the outside world again. We also teach them effective parenting skills. These women have shown such great interest in making their lives better and never wanting to come back to jail. They express such great interest and work very hard during the sessions. As my internship comes to an end I feel like I can walk away very satisfied that I did a good enough job and have learned how to better myself at what I wish to continue in the future.
