Hey neighbors , I recently was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy on Tuesday, from which I am recovering. Radiation an/or bilateral mastectomy are the recommendations. I am facing some tough decisions regarding further treatment options. Whatever combination of medicinal practices I go with, I'm looking for additional holistic treatment options. I'm looking at major lifestyle changes and moving forward I want to adopt a whole body-mind approach that will keep me healthy. I'm looking for recommendations on physical fitness, accupuncture, naturopathy, yoga, physical therapy, vitamin-c treatments, psychological and spiritual wellness and anything else you all can suggest. I've been doing research 24/7 but it's overwhelming and difficult on top of just absorbing the situation and getting through this first round of surgery. Any ideas would help. Personal connections very much wanted, there are so many practitioners but I want to know who YOU trust. Also, women, get tested for this genetic mutation. Mammograms aren't suggested by healthcare providers until age 40. I'm 35. My aunt saved my life by sharing the fact that she got tested for this gene after ovarian cancer.
