About us
Photography is my obsession and my passion. When I was young my father influenced my interest in photography as he taught me tips and techniques he learned from his father, a professional photographer. My mother was a graphic design specialist at a university and taught me how to use Photoshop at a young age on our Macintosh--before digital cameras existed. When I was in high school I practiced documentary photography on the yearbook staff and newspaper staff. Documentary photography is my favorite type of photography as I love to capture subjects' natural expressions as they go about everyday life. Photography became a real hobby of mine when I bought my first DSLR camera just before my first baby was born. Three years and another baby later, I've done "the typical mom thing" and have taken thousands of (professional) photos to chronicle their lives. As my family and I have become more active and involved in our community, I captured countless photos of the families surrounding us which were always adored and appreciated. At this point in my life it only made sense to continue to follow my passion and start a photography business. I am an on-location photographer. I enjoy natural, outdoor settings and using natural light. Photography is all about having fun! I specialize in portraits (including high school seniors), couples and maternity, newborns, family and children, pets, and events such as birthday parties and community functions.
