  Robin, I haven't tried Cumin India, so cannot comment. When I feel like having Indian food, I cook stuff at home. Some of my other favorites are Caseus, Saray (Turkish) in west haven, Sonobana (sushi) in Hamden. For coffee, definitely try Jojo,s and Maison Mathis (downtown). If I think of more, I'll let you know during the milonga tonight.
