About us
I am not your run-of-the-mill photographer. I never took classes or studied photography and I’ve never learned anything from anyone. I am self-taught and just have a natural eye for beauty.
I began taking photographs years ago on my family farm. We raised llamas and various other animals. I quickly discovered my love for them and for capturing photographs of the animals during my daily life. There was nothing fancy about it. Just a simple point and shoot camera that I could use when wanting to capture a simple moment or memory that I wanted to cherish for some time to come.
About two years ago, now, I bought my very first “nice” camera with removable lenses and the whole nine-yards. I started taking photos of friends and family when people began noticing that I had a knack for it. The rest is all down-hill…I’ve taught myself everything I know inclusive of Photoshop and Lightroom editing/finishing.
To this day, I’m unconventional in what I do. I believe in it being a fun experience for everyone involved. After all, they are YOUR memories. I am always interested in hearing and/or seeing your ideas for poses or themes…even edits. Often, I’ll ask for you to make a Pinterest board of ideas, poses, etc that you find appealing and then review those before the shoot for inspiration and ideas of what you like. I hate time constraints and I hate the idea of being stuck in one place with a tripod telling everyone to say “cheese”. I’m not afraid to get down on the ground, climb, or do whatever I have to do in order to achieve the desired result…capturing what’s beautiful.
If a laid back photographer is what you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place! And it doesn’t matter what your need is, I believe I can do it! My portfolio is inclusive of, but not limited to: Animals, Landscape, Portrait, Weddings and even Boudoir.
