About us
Aanhou-Wen is a work and care centre for mentally and physically handicapped adults in the Helderberg Basin which was established in 1987 with 4 members. Since then it has grown to a maintainable organization with 65 members between the ages of 18 an 66 years, who attend the centre daily.
Around 60% of the members are from underprivileged communities and are transported daily to and from Aanhou-Wen with transport provided by Aanhou-Wen vehicles. Aanhou-Wen is a non-profit organization.
Aanhou-Wen does not discriminate on grounds of race, gender or religion as we believe that each person is unique with status and worth, who deserves unconditional recognition and respect. At Aanhou-Wen we strive to develop each member’s potential to the point where he or she can function as independent as possible in the world.

Aanhou-Wen diskrimineer nie op grond van ras, geslag of geloof nie en ons glo dat elke persoon ‘n unieke wese met status en waarde is, wat kan aanspraak maak op onvoorwaardelike erkenning en respek.
